What is a healing denture?
A healing denture is a temporary, removable denture prepared before your extractions so it can be placed on the day the teeth are removed.
It provides teeth during the healing period. Your gums and underlying tissues change after extractions, so the fit changes too. This package includes the immediate temporary denture and supportive soft liners as outlined in your treatment plan. Tooth extractions and the final denture are not included in the $900-per-arch price.

We plan the temporary denture before your extraction appointment, explain its role during healing, and keep the final denture as a separate stage in your treatment plan.
Plan before extractions
We assess your mouth and collect the records needed to prepare the temporary denture. Your team reviews the extraction plan, denture expectations, and costs.
Fit your healing denture
The temporary denture is placed on the day of your planned extractions. We give you specific instructions for wearing and caring for it after surgery.
Support the changing fit
As healing progresses, we review the fit and provide the supportive soft liners included in your plan.
Plan your final denture
Your final denture is selected and planned separately after the healing period. It is not included in the $900-per-arch Healing Denture Package.

After treatment
Caring for your smile
Follow the postoperative instructions from your dental team, including when to remove the denture and how to clean it. Fit and chewing will change as your mouth heals. Contact us for sore spots or fit concerns rather than trying to adjust the denture yourself.
Before extraction day
Same-day teeth begin with advance planning.
A healing denture is prepared before the extraction appointment. An examination, impressions or other records, and laboratory work are needed first. Same-day placement does not mean that a denture can always be made from start to finish during a walk-in visit.

Support as your mouth changes
A changing fit is part of the healing conversation.
As swelling settles and the gums and underlying tissues change, the denture may begin to feel looser. Follow-up visits help us assess comfort and determine when an adjustment or supportive soft liner is appropriate under your treatment plan.
Once healing allows, a separate final denture can be made for the healed shape of your mouth. We will discuss when you are ready for this next stage; the final denture is not included in the healing package.

When should I arrange a healing denture?

Should I adjust a sore spot myself?
No. Contact us so we can assess the area and the denture. Follow your own postoperative instructions for wear and cleaning, and let us know if discomfort or fit concerns are getting worse.
